I think that one thing that I love about home schooling is the ability to get closer to nature and to chose what items I use to teach my children and where I buy them from.

One thing that I have always done with my children is to teach them that second-hand is OK to buy despite Covid 19.

I was not brought up to use second-hand and was told to always buy new, but now that I am a parent I am happy to teach.

is the new way to live life.

So one thing that I am looking at doing is to keep some of the things that I teach seasonal and to be more closer to nature and use what we have around use to learn who to live life to the full.

This year we were not really able to do any foraging like we have in the past, so I am going to use the items that I already have around the house and have not done any thing with yet.

What we will do is make then in to gifts for our family and friends and also to decorate the house with.

One of the thing that I still have not done yet this year is to winter rising garden and to plant my bulbs for next year. I always keep saying tomorrow and then it rains or the boys need me.

So my aim is to wineries the garden by 1st December this year and to make sure that I am ready for next year to start all over again.

Once again child poverty is on the the new and how parents are unable to feed their children and them selves.

With so many family services clothing and Covid 19 on the rise it is not like you can even knock a friends or familys door for something like a cup of suguar.

One thing that I belive need to be done is that people need to clearly know how much their income and exspences are so that they can cleary budget them selves.

With winter just around the corner more of use will be spending money on heating our homes and lighting, not just food and other key itmes or bills.

Many people today are also forced into the rental market and are paying more in rent than what you would for a morgage.

I am still a stong beliver that everyine with children under 5 should be given healthy start vouchers.

I also belive that any child of school age under the age of Seven should be given a free school meal, if the school is closed then that should still continue. I belive that every child can calim this up unil the end of Year 2 at school.

Thinking Time for Change Glass Etching

So many things have changed over the centuries including the way that we create products that would have required specialized skills and training.

One of those things is glass etching.

Today anyone can learn to etch glass and can do so with under and hour.  This is due to a product that you can buy on line call Glass Etching Cream (see link below.)

Yet how useful is the product and how easy and safe is it to use?

How will it effect the environment in the long run?

I have never used this product before and demonstration of how to use it can be found on you tube, along with the traditional way of how to etch glass.

Personal this was somethig that I was looking at buying when I first heard about this prosuct and could not wait to buy it.

One of the many reasons that I looked into buying it was the cost, time and my children.  I love still dining art and creating new things and upcycling.  At times I have even got my little ones involved when it come to things like paper, glue and none toxic paint.

But when it comes to using any thing else I believe that they are to young, so even getting out my dermal is something that I do not do around them.

So I thought why not try Etching Cream until I read the ingredeance and then I changed my mind.

I only really know what ingredients and the first thing that I though of was drain and over cleaner.  So I am not looking at using this product due to not beliving that it is safe to do so.

I am also worried about the long term damage that could happen to the environment by using it.  But without knowing much about it I do not know the answer to my own question.

I would love to find out more and would love some feed back.
