When will you start doing your shopping for the Festive Holiday Season?

When will you start doing your shopping for the Festive Holiday Season?

With summer almost over and Covid still on the rise, how many of us are now turning our attentions to shopping for the festive Holiday Season?

Before we all know it the festive adverts will be on our TV screens and we will all want to be knowing what top Christmas number one song will be for 2021.

The radio will be playing "Feed the World" and "It's Christmas!" about every 30 minuets.

IF we are lucky every wher will have their annual Christmas lights switch on and we will all be buying Mince Pies and bad woolly jumpers for men we know to wear.

So during all of this when will we look at doing our shopping ans most of all where?

Now that the whole world it still working with Covid 19, maybe now would be the time to think about starting new and looking at growing your own Fruit and Vegeables even if it is just a few herbs on you kitchen window in an empty plastic milk carton.

Thinking Time for Change Sort out for online accounts

Whilst you are at home why not look at sorting out your online accounts and make sure that every thing is up to dat.

Look at what accounts you have and maybe no longer use and therefore should unsubscribe from.

Look at the ones that my earn you money of if you offers that you have forgotten about.

Look at changing you details and making sure they are up to date.

Look at changing you passwords which is something that #i am to do at lest once per year.

Thinking Time for Change "SHOPPING SMART"

14th March 2020 “SHOPPING SMART!”

Before anyone one goes out and starts buying any thing next week, maybe this weekend is the time to look a “SHOPPING SMART.” Take some time over the next 72 hours to clean your home and pull out everything that you have in your kitchen and bathroom; even check the attic or outbuildings.

How may of use will find food and other sinlessly supplies that we have forgotten about?

Also take this time to have a “CLEAN UP AND CLEAR OUT.” so that you know what it is that you really NEED.

Because at the moment it is TIME that is going to effect everyone in the long run and their are other things that I believe that people should be doing other that “PANIC BUYING” items that they think that they may need.

At the moment no one really knows what is going to happen in the next 3sec. 3min, 3hours, 3days, 3weeks, 3months, or 3 years.

To me 3 is the magic number. So proving you have three of everything that you may NEED, then it is a start.

  • It is the time that it takes of most products that we need to last. (food, warmth, shelver)
  • It is the length of time that it can can for something do be achieved or completed.(food, warmth, shelver)
  • It is usually the amount of time someone may have to have suitable amount of, food, warmth and shelter.
  • It it probably about the amount that people have to be financial secure and get (food, warmth, shelver)
  • It is usually the length of time one can aim to stay healthy, even if they are only living on baked beans. (food, warmth, shelver)

It is these 3 key things that everyone needs on a daily basis to stay health in mind, body and spirit.
(food, warmth, shelver)

So take some time to sit down over the next 72 hours and see what it is you need and then think of the needs of those around you.

Your family
Your Friends
Your Work Colleges
Your neighbours
Your local Community
Your Regional Community
Your National Community
Your Country.

Beacuse if you can not provide these three essential things for you self first in order to stay fit and well (food, warmth, shelver)

How are you going to provide then to other people.

So look at shopping smart because if we do not then what is to say the Government will not start steeping in and doing that for us.

I for one do not want that two happen, this should be a last resort.

That way when you do your shopping you know that you only need to buy one or up to three of something that you really need.

I always look at this way “ONE MEANS NONE.”

Thinking Time for Change Not on the high street 2020

Not on the high street

one thing that I loved to do with my mum when I was little girl was go shopping.

I miss that.

I miss window shopping too where all if the shop widows would be dressed up with the latest product that the shops have to offer.

Now when you hit the hight street all you see are sale/discount stickers on the windows, closing down adverts or charity shops.

Sadly the high street is not the one that I remember from my childhood dream but now one that I today rarely visit and dread to take my children.

In part I am guilty of this due to taking to my online shopping choices then to brave the elements and stand in lines. to pay or self checkout If the internet had away of enabling you to smell bread when you buy it then no one would every leave home.

Yet I miss it and would have loved to have had a high street shop because without using all of your 5 senses you are only really using your eyes to buy anything.

Yes it is true that we shop with our eyes, but when it come to buying any thing it pays to able able to use all five senses when doing so.

When buying on line you so not always get the right product or services and at times end up keeping the item because or the hassle of sending it back or complaining, but if you have brought it direct. You may not have brought it at all.

When I go shopping of clothes I love to try them on, to touch the fabric and make sure that the sticking is good quality and the print too.

Yet I still do a lot of my shopping on line now especially when I know what I am buying and it is the same items every week.

Yet when it comes to wanting to buy something different and gifts for friends, family and love one I like to look for something new and outside the box.

So I like places that offer this on the high street and on line.

I love charity shops you never now what you might find and I like online stores like “Studio”https://www.studio.co.uk/

Or when it comes to taking photos and personalising them of loved ones the list of online photo business is endless

It is the same when I look for jewellery I would love to have an item custom made and personalized. Some thing like this is more of a skill and a specialized trade one that we are losing. This is mainly due to items being mass-produced.

Thinking Time for Change Confessions of a Shopaholic 2020

Confessions of a Shopaholic 2020

in 2009 the film “Confessions of a shopaholic” came out which is a film adaptation of the Shopaholic Book Series by Sophie Kinsella https://www.bookseriesinorder.com/shopaholic/

But how many people watched the film or read the book and took a leaf from the story line and STOPPED using store cards, taking out loans, buying on HP instead of living with in your financial means?

So maybe this year is the year that you look at doing so.

Many people at this time of year always buy or get brought the same things that can help you to live more frugally and to achieve that one thing that you would like to buy or pay for in the near future.

Some people would have been given a diary, (if not you could get one in the January sales or have an online one.) you have probably even been given a self help book too.

So why not spend a few minuets thinking about.

What is it really want?

What is it that you really need?

What is it that you really desire?

On my blog you can down load a budget c=sheet to help you plan your first or several months budget to help reach that goal.

Set a time frame and pin it on the wall or fridge somewhere that you can see it every day to motivate you.

If it is something like a holiday then think about like rewards that you can buy to motivate yourself too like a new swimming outfit.

If it is to buy a new outfit, car or save for a house then again put up a picture.

Every month take a few minuets to check where you are with your goal and where you are going to keep your money too.

Are you going to keep it in a tin in the house or open a new saving account with your bank? The best way to not spend the money that you are looking at saving I find is to out it some where else and keep it separate your every day, weekly and monthly spending.

So cut up those store cards, try to lower your over draft or get an account without one. Try to set up any payment plans to settle any old or out standing debts.

(use epically certified sites to support you like debt line, CAB or GovUK website.)

Start small and dream big.
